A tranquil farm atmosphere at San Gabriel Historic Guest Farm

San Gabriel

At the foot of the majestic Helderberg Mountains lies the San Gabriel Historic Guest Farm. Here you can relax and enjoy the simplicity and beauty of life and enjoy spectacular views of the mountains and the wide open spaces.

If you enjoy holidays where you can be surrounded by nature and enjoy birdwatching and hiking activities and more.

Whether you are a young couple looking to enjoy some peace and quiet together, or a small family looking for a fun and relaxing holiday away from the city, San Gabriel Historic Guest Cottages can accommodate you.

Trudy Pelser, your host and owner of San Gabriel, says: “Staying at San Gabriel, you can enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the farm with its magnificent setting and still be in easy reach of Stellenbosch, Cape Town, Hermanus and Franschoek.

“Strand beach is only 10km away. If you love mountain biking, 4×4, or hiking this can be done on the neighbouring farm.

“Being on the Stellenbosch Wine Route you can enjoy several of the top wines of the Cape.”

The gable (Holbol) on the Manor House – dating back to 1756, is one of the two oldest existing gables in the Cape. This historical homestead surrounded by old oaks and an exquisite garden, remains a most beautiful homestead.
